Question: Is this an official site?
Answer: No, it is not. We are in no way related to nor representative of any member of Beecake.

Question: What is different about this site?
Answer: While there are good Beecake-related sites out there in general fandom, too many have been taken over by unwanted elements - fandom drama, pointless sychophancy, meaningless squeeing, all-around immaturity. Also, with the official site being on MySpace is a turn-off for many. This site is created to counter all that and provide a sane, calm and appreciative sanctuary for fans of the band who wants no part of what goes on in MySpace sites.

Question: Is this yet another Billy Boyd fan community?
Answer: While Billy is a member of the band and shall be appreciated as such, there will be no fangirling of him on a personal level or as an actor. If you are here to appreciate Billy - and Beecake is an afterthought to you - then, please, try one of the links in our sidebar that will lead you to a site dedicated solely to Billy. We believe that Beecake should be appreciated as a band, not as an extension of Billy Boyd's fandom.

Question: How do we know that this site won't eventually deteriorate into the same inane stuff - filled with blatherings and delusional fandom behavior?
Answer: Our team of moderators will work very hard to ensure that those elements are filtered out. While we encourage honest self-expression here, we have a very low-tolerance for stupidity. Our mods are not afraid to edit, delete and lock posts should the commenter violate our rules or the purpose of this forum. Should it ever fall into the 'usual' tedious pattern of senseless fanship, we'd rather shut this forum down than let it continue as the same tired stuff all too common out there right now.
